Milwaukee Brewers Announce Brandon Woodruff News Before World Series vs. Rays

The Milwaukee Brewers are evaluating whether veteran right-hander Brandon Woodruff can be included on their World Series roster against the Tampa Bay Rays. Brewers president of baseball operations Matt Arnold indicated team officials are still meeting to discuss Woodruff's status ahead of Game 1 at American Family Field. Woodruff threw a 23-pitch live batting practice session on Tuesday, facing Brewers hitters including Christian Yelich and Jackson Chourio with his fastball reaching 90-92 mph.

Woodruff has been sidelined since July 4 due to right shoulder inflammation and made only nine starts during the regular season. The veteran pitcher stated that while he understands the organization's hesitations, his main goal was to put himself in position to be considered an option for the series.
