Fan groups from Newcastle United and Sunderland have hit out at the decision to implement a "bubble" for the Tyne-Wear derby in December…

Supporters groups from Newcastle United and Sunderland have united to criticize the implementation of a "bubble" travel arrangement for the Tyne-Wear derby on December 6. Imposed by the Safety Advisory Group and Northumbria Police, the restrictions require Sunderland supporters to travel solely via official club coaches rather than making independent travel plans. Sunderland's ticket allocation has also been reduced to 2,200 for the St James' Park fixture.
The Red and White Army supporter group branded the measure an absolute disgrace and demanded an urgent meeting with clubs and officials. The Newcastle United Supporters Trust strongly opposes the decision, while Sunderland officially stated that it disagrees with the restrictions and has requested transparency regarding the risk assessment.
