The undefeated 49ers are exploring trades, and George Kittle has asked about Khalil Mack. Could San Francisco land the Chargers' star pass rusher?

San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch confirmed the team is actively discussing potential deals ahead of the November 10 NFL trade deadline, with speculation focusing on Los Angeles Chargers pass rusher Khalil Mack. Tight end George Kittle notably asked Lynch whether San Francisco was pursuing the former NFL Defensive Player of the Year. The undefeated 5-0 49ers could target Mack to bolster their defense, especially with star pass rusher Nick Bosa sidelined by a calf injury.
Sportsnaut notes that the winless 0-5 Chargers could look to move the 35-year-old veteran to gain draft capital for a rebuild. Mack has recorded three sacks through five games and carries approximately $6 million in remaining salary for 2026. Lynch has a proven track record of midseason trades, and acquiring Mack would add vital pass-rushing depth alongside Bosa as the 49ers pursue a championship.
