Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Ryan Flournoy received praise on 105.3 The Fan as a potential WR2 option if the team parts with George Pickens. Pickens is playing on a franchise tag through the current season, leaving Dallas to decide whether to tag him again, negotiate a long-term deal, or let him leave in free agency.
Flournoy, who recently signed a contract extension keeping him in Dallas through 2027, has recorded 23 receptions for 234 yards and one touchdown through six games. Anthony Miller notes that applying another franchise tag to Pickens would cost approximately $35 million for 2027, potentially prompting the Cowboys to save salary cap resources to address defense and other roster needs.
