Morale among Arsenal staff has reportedly declined after the club placed 60 jobs at risk of redundancy following an operational review. The cuts come shortly after Arsenal secured their first Premier League title in 22 years and manager Mikel Arteta signed a new contract. Affected employees were notified of the proposed cuts last week, and consultation remains ongoing across the club's workforce of approximately 850 people.
The restructuring is part of a broader review overseen by chief executive Richard Garlick alongside management consultancy Boston Consulting Group. Despite recent on-field success and record revenue, Arsenal have posted financial losses across seven consecutive years. When asked about the pending job cuts during a recent press conference, manager Mikel Arteta declined to comment on the matter.
