The Story in 60 Seconds

Red Bull technical director Pierre Waché revealed that "close to nothing" from the 2026 RB22 car will carry over into the 2027 RB23 challenger. Despite late-season victories for Max Verstappen in Sepang and Singapore, both the drivers' and constructors' titles remain out of reach for Red Bull, Verstappen, and teammate Isack Hadjar in 2026. Consequently, the team is pursuing a comprehensive overhaul for 2027 to re-establish championship contention.

Waché explained that Red Bull has identified numerous areas for improvement across packaging, aerodynamics, and mechanical elements, despite cost-cap challenges. While minor components will transfer, key elements including the chassis and gearbox will be completely new designs for the second year of the regulations.
