Barcelona loanee Ronald Araujo scored for Liverpool in their Champions League match against Villarreal on Tuesday night, helping secure a 2-2 tie at half-time. Liverpool initially went down 2-0 following goals from Georges Mikautadze and Sergi Cardona. Alexis Mac Allister pulled one back before Rio Ngumoha crossed the ball for Araujo to head home the equalizer.
The header marked Araujo's second goal alongside one assist across three Champions League matches for Liverpool this season. Ahead of the fixture, the Uruguay international stated that while he and his family are happy on Merseyside, it is too early to decide on his future past the current campaign.
