The Steelers, in need of help at wide receiver with Michael Pittman Jr. and Roman Wilson out with injuries, signed veteran Marquez Valdes-Scantling on Tuesday.

The Pittsburgh Steelers signed veteran wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling to their practice squad on Tuesday ahead of their upcoming game in Paris against the New Orleans Saints. The move addresses depth concerns after wide receivers Michael Pittman Jr. and Roman Wilson were placed on injured reserve, leaving the team thin behind DK Metcalf and rookie Germie Bernard.
Valdes-Scantling spent time with Pittsburgh in 2025, recording 10 catches for 80 yards and one touchdown in five games. The Steelers represent his third team in under two months following brief stints with the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Chargers, and the move reunites him with former Green Bay Packers teammate Aaron Rodgers.
