Sanderson has missed all but the first period of the season opener due to a lower-body injury.

Ottawa Senators defenseman Jake Sanderson is set to return to the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Florida Panthers after an eight-game absence, according to head coach Travis Green. Sanderson had missed most of the season following a lower-body injury suffered in the first period of the season opener against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Sanderson's return reunites him with defensive partner Artem Zub as the 6-3-0 Senators seek to improve their five-on-five play-driving metrics. However, his comeback coincides with an injury to defenseman Thomas Chabot, who was sidelined during Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers.
