Atlanta Braves assistant general manager Ben Sestanovich is in the running for the Houston Astros' vacant front office head position, according to a report by Chandler Rome of The Athletic. The opening arose after Astros owner Jim Crane dismissed former general manager Dana Brown, who had also previously served in the Braves' front office.
Sestanovich joined the Braves ahead of the 2020 season after previously serving as the San Diego Padres' head of player development. Battery Power notes that Sestanovich is known for helping pitcher Kyle Wright break out by altering his pitch mix, while the author questions whether Crane will hire another Braves front office alumnus.
