The Story in 60 Seconds

Cincinnati Reds pitching prospect Luke Holman is drawing renewed attention following an impressive stint in the Arizona Fall League. After missing significant time over the past two seasons due to Tommy John surgery and a groin injury, the 23-year-old former LSU right-hander has logged nine innings in the AFL, yielding just one earned run while striking out 15 batters and issuing only one walk.

Holman was drafted by Cincinnati in 2024 but was limited to just 15.2 professional innings across rookie ball and Low-A Daytona due to injuries. Currently ranked by FanGraphs as the Reds' No. 17 prospect, Wick Terrell suggests Holman could ascend rapidly through the farm system if he maintains his health.
