The Anaheim Angels have announced that manager Kurt Suzuki will not return to lead the team in 2027. Suzuki took over the managerial role one year ago after the club failed to hire Albert Pujols. The team announced that Suzuki has been offered the opportunity to return to his former front-office position.
Writer Adam Morris views Suzuki as having served as a caretaker manager following the mid-2025 departure of Ron Washington. Morris also notes that former general manager Perry Minasian was dismissed four months earlier, with Suzuki joining AL West managers Dan Wilson and Joe Espada as recent managerial departures.
