The Story in 60 Seconds

The San Jose Sharks mounted a third-period comeback to defeat the Montreal Canadiens 4-3 in overtime in Montreal. Special teams proved decisive as San Jose went 2-for-3 on the power play while killing off both penalties against Montreal. Superstar captain Macklin Celebrini led the way, scoring the Sharks' opening goal, setting up the game-tying goal, and netting the overtime game-winner on the man advantage.

Tyler Toffoli scored the third-period equalizer off a Celebrini feed after Michael Kesselring drew a penalty against Arber Xhekaj. In overtime, Canadiens goaltender Jakub Dobes took a penalty, setting up a 4-on-3 power play where Ivar Stenberg and Will Smith assisted Celebrini's winner. Stenberg's assist made Sharks history as the first teenager with five assists in his first 10 career games.
