Tarik Skubal’s MLB Future Takes A New Turn

MLB insider Mark Feinsand listed the Detroit Tigers as a potential offseason landing spot for pitcher Tarik Skubal, who will soon become an unrestricted free agent. Skubal, traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers earlier in the season for three prospects, previously expressed strong interest in returning to Detroit. However, Feinsand noted that re-signing him would require a massive contract, making a Tigers reunion unlikely if a bidding war emerges.

Skubal is expected to command a contract upwards of $400 million following the Dodgers' elimination in the NLCS by the Milwaukee Brewers. During an appearance on the "Pardon My Take" podcast, Skubal stated he would love to return to Detroit and hoped negotiations could resume after the playoffs. Tigers executive Scott Harris welcomed the pitcher's praise for the organization but declined to discuss free agency specifics.
