Despite their resurgence in the second half of the 2026 season, Red Bull aren't planning on carrying over a great deal of their current car to next year.

Red Bull technical director Pierre Wache revealed that the team plans a major overhaul for the 2027 Formula 1 season, transferring almost nothing from their 2026 car despite a recent resurgence with Max Verstappen. Wache explained that modifications to technical regulations and budget cap constraints have influenced their decision to build extensive new parts across packaging, aerodynamics, and mechanical areas instead of carrying over existing components.
According to Wache, major components including the gearbox and chassis will be completely different for 2027. This approach stands in contrast to rivals Ferrari, whose team principal Fred Vasseur stated that approximately 80 percent of their 2026 car's development work would be carried over into the following year.
