The United captain chose to expose what appears to be division in a fractured dressing room, and even Carrick appeared resigned into accepting there’s no coming back from that…
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes publicly criticized manager Michael Carrick's tactics following an embarrassing 4-1 Champions League defeat to Como. Speaking after being substituted during the match, Fernandes questioned the coaching staff's decision to avoid pressing man-to-man and demanded more bravery from the team. The post-match comments ignited an open war of words between the captain and his manager amid United's turbulent start to the campaign.
Carrick hit back by questioning his players' physical effort, arguing that they cannot pick and choose when to run. Pundit Jamie Carragher heavily criticized Fernandes' outburst, describing the captain's actions and public attitude as disgraceful. The heavy loss and dressing room tension have left Carrick's managerial future under intense scrutiny.
