The Champions League winner could return to the King Power Stadium as a senior figure at AFC Wimbledon…

Former Leicester City defender Ryan Bertrand is involved in a proposed £87 million investment deal for League One side AFC Wimbledon. Bertrand is playing a leading role alongside Omar Mir, who is financing the takeover proposal through Sloane Street Capital (SSC). The investment firm aims to acquire a 34 percent stake in AFCW PLC, which operates the football club.
The proposed agreement would initially inject £16 million into the club, followed by £71 million committed across five seasons through 2030/31. If approved, SSC would oversee football activities, and Bertrand would become a senior football advisor.
