Luka Dončić gave Yaxel Lendeborg his ‘Welcome To The League’ moment

Luka Dončić dominated rookie defender Yaxel Lendeborg as the Los Angeles Lakers secured a 127-105 season-opening victory against the Golden State Warriors. After Lendeborg engaged in trash talk during the second quarter, Dončić responded by scoring 10 points before halftime, including a buzzer-beating halfcourt shot. Dončić finished the contest with 28 points and a plus-31 rating in 29 minutes.

Following the game, Lendeborg criticized Dončić for on-court complaining, stating he lost respect for the star guard, while Warriors coach Steve Kerr termed the experience a valuable lesson. Lakers head coach JJ Redick praised his squad's defensive communication after Los Angeles limited Golden State to 35 total points across the second and third quarters.
