The Pistons will need to give Ebuka Okorie some minutes, and Daniss Jenkins is showing why.

PistonPowered's Swoosh Shrestha argues that backup point guard Daniss Jenkins's mediocre showing in the Detroit Pistons' season opener strengthens the case for rookie Ebuka Okorie to enter the rotation. While Detroit won Jenkins's 15 minutes by four points, Shrestha contends his lackluster shot creation highlighted the team's need for secondary ball-handling when Cade Cunningham rests.
Jenkins finished the game with three points, two rebounds, and three assists. Shrestha suggests Okorie offers superior shot-creation and dribble-penetration skills off the bench, urging head coach JB Bickerstaff to give the rookie opportunities in upcoming games.
