Steve Kerr didn’t realise his mic was still hot, but fans certainly heard him loud and clear as he vented his frustration over how refs whistle games in Los Angeles.
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was caught on a hot mic venting his frustration over officiating during a 127-105 blowout loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Trailing by 22 points in the third quarter, Kerr spoke to Yaxel Lendeborg on the sideline, criticizing what he viewed as favorable referee calls awarded to the Lakers on their home court.
Broadcast microphones picked up Kerr stating that officials call fouls in Los Angeles that would not be called in any other arena. The Lakers converted 24 of 27 free throws following 25 fouls on Golden State, while rookie Lendeborg also criticized opponent Luka Doncic over foul-baiting and officiating calls during the contest.
