LaMelo Ball debuted a new haircut during his first game for the Minnesota Timberwolves on October 21, 2026, which Billy Heyen notes strongly resembles his brother Lonzo Ball and Celtics star Jayson Tatum. Ball moved away from his previously longer hairstyle in favor of a fresh edge-up for his team debut.
On the court, Ball contributed 21 points and six assists in 29 minutes during Minnesota's 131-106 victory over the Miami Heat, alongside Anthony Edwards' 45-point performance. Following the contest, Lonzo Ball reacted on social media by humorously calling out LaMelo for an uncalled travel on a stepback shot.
