Rowan Wick never threw a picth for the SF Giants in 2026, but they still have to make a decision on the veteran hurler. His contract includes a club option for 2027.

The San Francisco Giants face a unique contract decision this offseason regarding veteran relief pitcher Rowan Wick, who holds an $800,000 club option for 2027. Wick signed with the Giants during spring training while recovering from November 2025 Tommy John surgery and spent the entire 2026 season on the 60-day injured list without throwing a pitch for the club.
Around the Foghorn notes that Wick is also eligible for arbitration, where MLB Trade Rumors projects him to earn the same $800,000 salary. The Giants must decide whether to exercise the option, pursue arbitration, or decline and non-tender him to free agency amid an impending roster crunch involving 17 players on the 60-day injured list.
