Australian women's cricket bowler Megan Schutt has received a two-match ban and issued an apology following a prescription medication breach. Cricket Australia confirmed that the suspension stems from a single out-of-competition incident that failed to meet Sports Science and Sports Medicine guidelines, noting that it was not performance-enhancing. Schutt accepted the penalty and expressed regret for falling short of expected standards.
The 33-year-old served the first match of her suspension during Thursday's washed-out T20 international against New Zealand in Sydney. Schutt, who has taken 319 international wickets across 244 matches, is expected to serve the second match of the ban during the Adelaide Strikers' WBBL opener against the Melbourne Stars on October 31.
