Jim Leonhard may have just made his stance on Bills’ CB2 spot crystal clear

Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard indicated that rookie cornerback Davison Igbinosun has earned significant playing time, likely securing the starting CB2 position. Speaking to the media, Leonhard stated that Igbinosun has earned a high number of snaps opposite Christian Benford, praising the rookie's reliability after Buffalo entered its bye week with a 5-1 record despite ongoing struggles in pass defense.

BuffaLowDown writer Brandon Ray argues that Leonhard's comments signal Igbinosun will permanently replace Maxwell Hairston on the outside. Through six games, Igbinosun has tallied 16 total tackles and seven pass deflections, which is tied for sixth in the NFL, seizing his opportunity after Hairston struggled earlier in the season against the Patriots.
