Julian Nagelsmann has emerged as the leading candidate to replace Michael Carrick as Manchester United manager. Carrick appears close to dismissal following a 4-1 Champions League defeat against Como, extending United's winless streak to seven matches. According to reports from The Telegraph and TalkSport, Nagelsmann is open to the position and has already been sounded out by the club after stepping down as Germany head coach.
Manchester United are also reportedly considering alternatives such as Brighton's Fabian Hurzeler, former Newcastle manager Eddie Howe, and Aston Villa boss Unai Emery. Antonio Conte was reportedly offered to the club but is not on the shortlist. United host Bournemouth on Sunday in a match that could determine Carrick's immediate future.
