⚽"Declan Rice is a world-class midfielder and that was a top, top goal."
Steven Gerrard praised Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice as "world-class" following the Gunners' 2-2 Champions League draw against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena. Arsenal took an early lead through Eberechi Eze before Bayern Munich responded with goals from Alphonso Davies and a Harry Kane penalty. Rice subsequently equalized for Arsenal with a late run and finish to earn a point.
Speaking on TNT Sports, Gerrard commended Arsenal for showing strong character and mentality after falling behind in a difficult away environment. Following the match, Rice backed England teammate Kane for the Ballon d'Or, describing him as the clear winner after a remarkable year.
