OKC Thunder forward Jalen Williams looks great right out of the gate in 2026-27, though there's still one thing that may hold him back from returning to his All-Star status.

Mark Nilon of Thunderous Intentions writes that Oklahoma City Thunder star Jalen Williams must rediscover his perimeter shooting touch to fully regain his previous All-Star form. Williams looked healthy and fluid defensively in Tuesday's season-opening victory over the San Antonio Spurs, but writer Nilon argues that his depleted shooting stroke remains a key obstacle following past right wrist surgery.
Williams previously underwent surgery to repair a torn scapholunate ligament in his right wrist, which contributed to career-low shooting percentages last season. Williams stated postgame that his offensive rhythm will require an adjustment period after missing significant time, but he remains confident his production will improve quickly as the season continues.
