AC Milan head coach Ruben Amorim confirmed that Alphadjo Cisse will start as the center-forward against Bournemouth in their Europa League clash. Speaking to Sky Italia, Amorim explained that Cisse possessed the specific qualities needed to challenge Bournemouth's central defenders, choosing him over fellow forward Francesco Camarda on the player's 20th birthday.
Amorim made six changes to the starting lineup following a weekend league win over Atalanta, citing a busy schedule of four games across ten days. Other players introduced into the starting team included Fikayo Tomori, Pervis Estupinan, Ardon Jashari, and Omari Hutchinson.
