If there were any suspicions that Mo Salah might be past his best after leaving Liverpool to join Trabzonspor in the summer, here was a reminder that class is permanent.

Mo Salah starred with a goal and an assist as Trabzonspor defeated an injury-depleted Hearts 2-0 in the UEFA Conference League. Salah opened the scoring from the penalty spot around the half-hour mark after Tomas Magnusson fouled Franculino. The Egyptian forward later set up Franculino ten minutes into the second half to seal the win in Turkey.
Despite the defeat, Wouter Vrancken's side delivered a vastly improved performance following their recent 7-1 loss to Celtic. Hearts suffered further setbacks with Christian Borchgrevink picking up a hamstring injury, while Trabzonspor defender Sidny Cabral was sent off in stoppage time.
