The Story in 60 Seconds

Paris Saint-Germain currently have no plans to sign a new goalkeeper despite widespread speculation regarding their long-term options, according to reports citing Canal+. The French club are reportedly satisfied with Matvey Safonov's form as the starting goalkeeper this season, meaning they are in no immediate hurry to recruit a replacement during upcoming transfer windows.

Safonov took over the starting role following Lucas Chevalier's past struggles, having previously seen target Zion Suzuki join Aston Villa. While writer Will Faulks argues Safonov is not at an elite level and that an upgrade may eventually be sought, PSG remain content with their current goalkeeper situation for the time being.
