The Dallas Mavericks received encouraging news on Kyrie Irving ahead of their Pacers matchup, signaling a major step forward in his return from ACL surgery.

Kyrie Irving was left off the Dallas Mavericks' injury report ahead of Friday's game against the Indiana Pacers, signaling his availability for the front end of a back-to-back set. Irving recently returned to action in a 128-110 loss to the Houston Rockets on Wednesday, scoring 15 points in 24 minutes after missing over 19 months due to a torn left ACL.
While Irving appears set to play, Dallas ruled out Santi Aldama, Tarik Biberovic, and Caleb Martin, with Jett Howard listed as doubtful. The Mavericks play Indiana on October 23 before returning home to face the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday, October 24.
