Collin Sexton receives encouraging injury news as the Lakers prepare for their Clippers showdown. But what changed?

Los Angeles Lakers guard Collin Sexton is poised to make his team debut on Friday against the LA Clippers after being cleared from the official injury report. The 27-year-old veteran missed the entire preseason and the season opener due to a right soleus calf strain. Head coach JJ Redick had held him out of the opener as a precaution, but Sexton is now positioned to join the active rotation.
Sexton signed a two-year, $19 million contract with the Lakers during the offseason. His expected debut comes alongside other roster updates, with forward Jake LaRavia listed as questionable due to a right ankle sprain and Cameron Carr and Adou Thiero ruled out. The Lakers previously opened their campaign with a 127-105 victory over the Golden State Warriors.
