The Seahawks are getting a major reinforcement ahead of their Sunday Night Football showdown with Kansas City as Zach Charbonnet returns from a lengthy injury absence.

The Seattle Seahawks have activated running back Zach Charbonnet from the physically unable to perform list ahead of their Sunday Night Football matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Charbonnet has been sidelined since suffering a torn left ACL during last season's divisional playoff round. After participating fully in Wednesday and Thursday practices, the running back is on track to play on Sunday.
His activation comes as a crucial boost following rookie first-round pick Jadarian Price's placement on injured reserve with a chest injury on October 3. Seattle had relied on George Holani and Emanuel Wilson in the backfield. Writer Ross Johnston argues that Charbonnet's return should alleviate pressure on quarterback Sam Darnold, particularly as Seattle prepares to face former teammate Kenneth Walker in Kansas City.
