Seahawks tight end Elijah Arroyo will miss the rest of the 2026 season, dealing another significant blow to his development after previous injury setbacks.

Seattle Seahawks tight end Elijah Arroyo will miss the remainder of the 2026 NFL season due to undergoing shoulder surgery, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Arroyo sustained the injury while trying to recover a fumble by wide receiver Rashid Shaheed during a recent Thursday night loss to the Denver Broncos. The second-year player will miss Seattle's final 11 regular-season games and any potential playoff appearances.
The setback halts development for the 2025 second-round draft pick, who recorded 15 catches for 179 yards and a touchdown as a rookie. Arroyo previously dealt with knee issues, including a torn ACL in college at Miami and a knee strain in 2025. With Arroyo sidelined, AJ Barner continues to lead Seattle's tight end room.
