Bournemouth stars Rayan and Tyler Adams rejected taking the knee, while the gesture was loudly booed at Leeds United, as doubts over the anti-racism gesture's impact continue to grow.

Multiple Premier League players have opted against taking the knee before kick-off during the league's 'No Room For Racism' campaign, while fans at Elland Road booed the pre-match gesture. Bournemouth's Rayan and Tyler Adams, Leeds United striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Everton's Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Manchester City defender Marc Guehi, and Ipswich's Issa Diop all chose to remain standing prior to their respective matches.
The specific reasons for each player's decision were not stated, though Leeds manager Daniel Farke explained that Calvert-Lewin prefers to show respect by standing. The gesture, which was adopted in 2020, is currently performed during designated rounds after captains voted in 2022 to scale back its frequency amid ongoing debate over its lasting impact.
