Washington Wizards big man Anthony Davis praised the defensive potential of teammate Bilal Coulibaly, stating the forward has no ceiling defensively. Starting in place of the injured AJ Dybantsa on Wednesday, Coulibaly logged four steals, two blocks, and seven deflections across 29 minutes during Washington's season-opening victory against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Coulibaly became the first Wizards player in 51 years to record at least four steals and two blocks in an opener. After failing to agree on a rookie scale extension before Monday's deadline, the 22-year-old is positioned to become a restricted free agent next summer if extended a qualifying offer.
