The Broncos’ defense has carried the team. Now it’s time for Bo Nix to step up vs. Cardinals

The Denver Broncos travel to face the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday looking for quarterback Bo Nix and the offense to step up behind a dominant defense. Denver holds a 4-2 record despite Nix throwing for career-low marks of 1,049 yards and six touchdowns through six games, including 107 passing yards in an overtime win against Seattle. Both head coach Sean Payton and Nix acknowledged the need for improved offensive execution and leadership.

The Cardinals enter the matchup at 2-4 after snapping a four-game losing streak with an 18-16 win against the Los Angeles Rams, where kicker Chad Ryland made six field goals. Arizona hopes to end a nine-game home losing skid as quarterback Jacoby Brissett leads the offense. At halftime, former wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald will be inducted into the Cardinals' Ring of Honor and have his No. 11 jersey retired.
