The BCCI confirmed Ishan Kishan sustained a low-grade right adductor strain during the 1st T20I at Hagley Oval, Christchurch.
Ishan Kishan has been ruled out of India's second T20I against New Zealand after sustaining a low-grade right adductor strain. The injury occurred during the series opener on October 22 at Hagley Oval in Christchurch. The BCCI confirmed Kishan's absence on October 23, noting that their medical team is actively monitoring his recovery.
The strain had already disrupted India's batting lineup in the first match, forcing Tilak Varma to be promoted to No. 3. Support staff member Kotak indicated that Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is a leading contender to replace Kishan in the playing XI for the upcoming fixture.
