Our experts make their World Series predictions

A panel of 51 MLB.com experts overwhelmingly selected the Milwaukee Brewers over the Tampa Bay Rays to win the 2026 World Series. The Brewers received 43 of the 51 votes (84.3%), driven by their franchise-record 103-win regular season and an NLCS sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Despite Milwaukee being heavily favored to claim its first Commissioner's Trophy, 44 of the 51 analysts expect the matchup to last at least six games.

Milwaukee outfielder Jackson Chourio led the World Series MVP voting with 16 selections, followed by teammate William Contreras with 13 votes. Experts largely favored the Brewers due to a dominant bullpen featuring Aaron Ashby and closer Trevor Megill, while dissenting analysts highlighted Tampa Bay's starting pitching rotation of Drew Rasmussen, Freddy Peralta, and Nick Martinez.
