WASHINGTON, D.C. — It’s only one game, but Trae Young and Anthony Davis looked really good together in their first official contest as teammates on the Washington Wizards.
Trae Young praised new teammate Anthony Davis following their first regular-season game together with the Washington Wizards, stating he wants to help Davis win the MVP award. The pair combined for 54 points in a 128-116 opening-night victory against the Milwaukee Bucks at Capital One Arena.
Davis recorded 34 points and 12 rebounds across 34 minutes in his team debut, while Young added 20 points and 13 assists. Davis is earning $58.5 million this season and plans to address a contract extension next offseason, while Young previously signed a four-year, $210 million extension in July.
