Viktor Gyokeres' mentor Anders Limpar says the Arsenal striker is struggling under Mikel Arteta and needs a different role to thrive.
Former Arsenal winger Anders Limpar stated that Viktor Gyokeres is struggling as a lone striker under Mikel Arteta and should be used in a two-man forward line. Limpar, who coached Gyokeres at Swedish club Brommapojkarna, argued that the Sweden international performs better alongside a target man rather than serving as one himself.
Gyokeres has faced limited starting opportunities following his arrival from Sporting CP, with Kai Havertz regularly preferred as Arsenal's centre-forward. While Havertz highlighted their positive working relationship, reports indicate growing speculation over Gyokeres' future amid a reported £55m valuation from the club.
