After a very late decision to return to the Minnesota Vikings this season, Harrison Smith has already confirmed his plans for the future.

Minnesota Vikings veteran safety Harrison Smith confirmed that the 2026 NFL season will be his final year playing professional football. Speaking on "The Richard Sherman Podcast," Smith stated directly that he will not play beyond this season, removing previous uncertainty surrounding his future plans with the franchise.
Smith returned for his 15th season with Minnesota just before Week 1, having played in all five games while taking 47.5 percent of defensive snaps. He shared that a conversation with his four-year-old daughter and his wife helped spark his decision to return for one final campaign.
