Barry Bannan has his sights set on a coaching career at Sheffield Wednesday once his playing career comes to an end.

Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Barry Bannan has revealed his desire to stay with the club for another 20 years by transitioning into a coaching or management role after retiring. The 36-year-old Scot, who rejoined the Owls on a one-year deal in July, stated he plans to finish his playing career at Hillsborough and hopes his relationship with owner David Storch will lead to future staff opportunities.
Bannan had briefly left Sheffield Wednesday on a free transfer for Millwall in January amid uncertainty surrounding the club's ownership and future direction. He returned shortly after Arise Capital Partners, led by Storch, completed a takeover on May 1, and he now expects the club to go from strength to strength.
