The Story in 60 Seconds

The Football Association has handed Huddersfield Town midfielder Ryan Ledson a three-match suspension and a £7,000 fine for misconduct. The sanctions follow an incident during the Terriers' 2-2 League One draw with Sheffield Wednesday on October 10. Ledson admitted to using abusive and insulting words toward a match official around the tunnel area at both half-time and after the final whistle.

Ledson did not play in the match due to an elbow injury and has been sidelined since mid-September. Although the team captain returned to training this week, the suspension rules him out of upcoming fixtures against Wigan Athletic, Bradford City, and Luton Town.
