Performance Preview: Week Seven Standout – Chris Godwin, Chase McLaughlin or Yaya Diaby?

Buccaneers.com contributors Scott Smith, Brianna Dix, and Gabriel Kahaian are continuing their weekly Performance Preview competition ahead of Tampa Bay's divisional matchup against Carolina. For Week Seven, contributor Gabriel Kahaian selected wide receiver Chris Godwin Jr. to stand out, pointing to the team's commitment to getting the receiver more involved in the offense.

The Buccaneers are also tracking key injuries, notably quarterback Baker Mayfield's potential return from a dislocated thumb and safety Antoine Winfield's return to practice following a cracked rib. Team reporter Casey Phillips previously awarded Smith the Week Six victory after receiver Emeka Egbuka recorded seven catches and a touchdown.
