The Story in 60 Seconds

Los Angeles Lakers backup guard Collin Sexton was removed from the injury report and is expected to make his season debut on Friday against the Los Angeles Clippers. Sexton missed Wednesday's season-opening win over the Golden State Warriors and the entire preseason due to a strained right calf.

Lakers head coach JJ Redick explained that holding Sexton out was a collaborative medical decision, noting no setbacks occurred. Sexton, who signed a two-year, $19.2 million contract in July, will provide backcourt depth behind Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves.
