Atlanta Hawks 2026-27 player preview: Corey Kispert

Corey Kispert enters his second season with the Atlanta Hawks feeling more comfortable after having a full offseason and training camp with the team. Kispert joined the Hawks in the middle of last season as part of the trade that sent Trae Young to the Washington Wizards. Despite his improved comfort, the writer notes that Kispert appears positioned as an end-of-bench offensive option heading into the 2026-27 campaign.

Kispert's playing time decreased toward the end of last season due to defensive struggles, and the offseason additions of Lu Dort and Aaron Wiggins have created additional competition for rotation minutes under head coach Quin Snyder. The writer suggests Kispert may require injuries or foul trouble elsewhere on the roster to secure significant regular-season playing time.
