Nicky Hayen discusses the mentality of his Burnley players…
Burnley manager Nicky Hayen addressed his squad's mentality ahead of their match against Lincoln City, admitting his players are often "too nice" and "too soft." Following a recent defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers that extended Burnley's home winless league run to an entire calendar year, Hayen organized small-group debriefs to encourage open communication and urge the squad to become more vocal.
The Clarets sit in the Championship relegation zone with only one win from their first 11 games. Hayen cited individual mistakes, a lack of 90-minute physical consistency, and dropping 15 points from winning positions as critical areas the team must improve.
