The NHL season is not even a month old yet, but the trade chatter is already relentless. Nick Kypreos takes a look at who’s hot and who’s not among the trade buzz.
Nick Kypreos analyzes the early NHL trade market, focusing on major situations involving Dylan Larkin and Connor Hellebuyck. Larkin reportedly expanded his trade list to 10 teams, but Detroit Red Wings interim GM Shawn Horcoff continues to hold out for an exceptional return despite receiving multiple fair offers. Meanwhile, Hellebuyck intends to return from his team suspension, leaving the Winnipeg Jets seeking an appropriate trade.
Kypreos details other key trade candidates across the league, including pending free agents and struggling veterans. The Pittsburgh Penguins may consider moving Rickard Rakell and Erik Karlsson, while the Vancouver Canucks evaluate Elias Pettersson and Jake DeBrusk. Additionally, teams such as the Buffalo Sabres could potentially explore goaltending upgrades involving Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen.
