Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has admitted that waiting to learn if he has won the Ballon d'Or is causing stress for him and his family. The England captain enters Monday's ceremony in London as the bookmakers' frontrunner, though he revealed he remains entirely unaware of the outcome ahead of the event.
Several football figures, including Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice and former player Steven Gerrard, have publicly backed Kane to win the award. The forward recently scored from the penalty spot in Bayern Munich's 2-2 Champions League draw against Arsenal, with Barcelona's Lamine Yamal considered his closest competitor.
